Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley
Dedicated to Building Safe and Inclusive Communities
Held each August on the grounds of Cedar Beach Park in Allentown, the event has become the area's premiere outdoor event for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and allied community of the Greater Lehigh Valley and beyond.
The Rainbow Scholarship seeks to assist lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and (LGBT) students with school expenses while increasing the positive visibility of LGBT youth and promoting awareness and acceptance throughout the community at large..
Throughout the year we celebrate the accomplishments of our community and promote economic growth of the region by supporting businesses that value our diversity. We collaborate with numerous individuals and organizations to improve the lives of the entire Lehigh Valley.
Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley (PrideGLV) traces it's roots back to 1993, where after attending the March in Washington, a small group of residents were inspired with a vision to share with the Lehigh Valley. This group of pride pioneers recognized the need to provide a much needed positive and welcoming atmosphere for the Lehigh Valley Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.
Since that time, PrideGLV has not only grown as an organization, but has seen it's premiere event 'Pride in the Park' reach new heights each year.
The key to the success of PrideGLV has been the support of our partners from the community, individual leaders and volunteers, and our business sponsors, vendors and advertisers. The same group who are vital to our future success. We encourage you to learn more about us and get involved.
