Gone are the days of Presentation, Onstage Question & Answer and other formalities, Miss Pride in the Park focuses on your talent and gay pride! This year we look to the drag queens of our community to show their passion to perform ONE Outstanding Talent number in a FABULOUS costume (costuming is judged).

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots which were led by drag queens who were tired of being treated as less than equal. This year we ask our contestants to remind us all that the fight for equality continues and show us, as those drag queens did during the 1969 riots, how drag queens empower us through their passionate performances!

To compete, contestants will need to complete and submit the Waiver and Application along with the $5 entrance fee prior to 10am on Thursday, August 13, 2009.
